I have purchased 13 of the Part 3403 via SmallRig Amazon.com.au and EBay stores. Plus from AUS retailers Videocraft & Digital Camera Warehouse. And all of the AUX Cable supplied with Rosette Adapter are faulty & do not work with the Sony FX6 handgrip.

Moviing the camera around or working off the shoulder can cause this handgrip clamp to randomly disconnect from the FX6 grip. I do not recommend. Getting the Shape FX6 Hand grip instead.

I feel like it should come with two covers, one for the handle and one for the camera hole. I actually expected this. This said it’s still the usually exceptional quality Small Rig delivers and I love it even though it seems half complete haha.

The extension cable included prompts an error for the FX6. Makes the grip unusable.Product is okay if you don’t use the function of the handle.—————————-UPDATE:Small rig sent me a new working cable in a few days. Makes the whole thing worth it

Fits, but extremely loose and sloppy making it unusable unless you tighten a grub screw to the point it’s not a quick release. Doesn’t work efficiently, but does hold the grip. Yeh old style worked well, this quick release is useless.

This is obviously not made for the FS5 BUT, it is only the cable that is incompatible. This cable is a 3.5mm and the FS5 needs a 2.5mm. I simple bought a separate 2.5mm extention and it all worked perfectly

Works as expected and is rock solid. Unfortunately the FX6 grip mechanism itself is not. This adapter is cleverly designed, it can be both a male and female rosette connection. Now if SmallRig could design another part which would allow the grip to be adjusted in 3 axis…I wish their co-design program still existed as I have such design.

This handgrip is designed for Sony FX6 though, but it works flawless on FS5 as well. Once the adapter locked in the FS5 handgrip, it feel really solid. The best part is the twist release button on the handgrip also works well with this adapter.The only catch is this adapter comes with a 3.5' extension cable which is for FX6. Good news is any normal 2.5' stereo audio extension cable could solve the problem.
