My spices were a hot mess until I ordered my first Smart Design Over-the-Door Organizer two years ago...and now, I am all kinds of organized (well, at least my pantry door is!) Things I like: (1) Easy to assemble. (2) Easy to CLEAN (because, we know those spices are going to get everywhere). (3) Sturdy and stays put when I open the door in a fury to quickly find something I forgot to add to a recipe (i.e. it doesn't rock and roll so contents don't shift/fall and make a mess. (4) Baskets are wide and tall enough to fit standard mason jars (which is great!), and deep enough to keep things tucked in. (5) Long-lasting (Bought the first one two years ago, and it's held up like a champ - even a cross country move!). I actually just bought another one since my new pantry has two doors, and it looks super sharp. I especially like that the fasteners on top which secure it to the door, are well made and not digging into the door or trim, or destroying the paint! The only downside is that the heights between shelves cannot be adjusted, but I can still fit large 32oz mason jars on the top shelf, so it's all good. Summary: I hate spending money, but happily shelled out the additional bucks to get a second one of these....and if I had another door, I would buy a third!

Reviewing this 4 years later. I use this as a behind-the-door pantry on the door directly off my kitchen. The unit is still holding strong. The shelf heights are super adjustable.. I used to have really tall containers on the bottom basket so removed a basket tier at some point.TIP: Use the picture frame velcro-like strips on the black bottom legs to attach the shelf unit to the door. That way it doesnt bang around as you open and close the door

Using this inside the walk-in pantry door. Had a similar product, but the over-the-door piece made the door hard to close and also didn't have a back, so things kept slipping out. This product is wonderful. Love the basket feature. Holds all of the things we usually need on a grab-n-go basis without totally entering the pantry (i.e. baggies, commonly used spices, smaller items). Love the convenience. Love that the length is adjustable. Love the baskets. Overall, a game changer in keeping our pantry organized.

So the thing I like most is it is easy easy easy to put together. I was able to do it without my husband as he has SO much to do I hated to add one more thing to the list. JUST as I was thinking that one piece didn't fit together but a pair of pliers and a little squeeze fixed that. Yes I know I shouldn't have to do it but it really wasn't worth asking for a new part. The shelves are a nice depth - holds my extra spices in the bigger bottles AND they are a nice space apart. So I think for the money it is great. I think as long as you're reasonable with how much weight you put on it it will last.** Update - I now have three of these and the piece not fitting (the last on the right) was true of all 3 of them. Two of them I was able to modify with success. One I was not and I can't get it fixed. I have contacted them and asked for them to replace the one piece. I'll update with how (or if) they respond.

Do you have limited space and more spices than the average spice organizer can hold? Do you have a door near the kitchen Me? Me, too! We just moved into a 550 square foot apartment. It's a miracle that all of my many kitchen and pantry items fit into the kitchen cupboards; though I do have to use a stool to reach most of the cabinets. I had zero room for my many sized spices. I looked up spice organizers, shadow boxes, DIY ideas... I ended up squeezing them all onto a 3-tier standing shelf that protruded into the limited walking space of our living room. Lo and behold, the boyfriend found this gem of an organizer, which fits every size from my 1 oz pumpkin spice to my 24 oz breadcrumbs. I even have space to squeeze a few more spices! I assembled it within minutes, and even though it's worth $20 rather than the $40 I paid, the convenience and storage capability is worth the extra pennies. Highly recommend. I'll share an update if I encounter any problems, but it's feeling sturdy and reliable.

Best investment ever! With being out of work & hard to find a new job, unemployment has helped me to finally get things addressed & taken care of in my mom & me's NYC tiny apartment. I was SO happy to get this, easy assemble, easy to attack to my door, and I have concreate walls (horrible btw) but they work with my concrete door!!!! It closed the closet door for the first time in my whole life! (Used to be a old shoe hanger organizer) I highly recommend get this if you don't have a pantry like me, this really helps free up the kitchen cabinets (pantry) and make the kitchen feel less cluttered and the front door closet, alittle more easier to use daily :) I will be ordering more in the future! 4 weeks later still going strong and makes me happy to look at with all the mixed baskets being occupied & easier to find things now a days. No more guessing cans in the cabinets, now I can display it all comfortable with a swing of a door :)
