This is a very deceptive product description. It is designed for gate latches and other outdoor uses and it says it is stainless and aluminum, which if that were true would hold up outdoors. Unfortunately it is either a mis-print or intentionally deceptive. I used a magnet to check all the metal (a magnet does not stick to either aluminum or stainless steel) and every piece of the lock unit is cheap stamped steel. The fit and finish of the metal is also very poor. Great idea for a gate lock, extremely poor execution.

Works great once you get past the language barrier in the instructions.Don't use rechargeable batteries unless you plan to connect a wall adapter. Alkaline batteries have lasted a long time so far.
