We have complete understanding of all our products from portable stage platforms, audio racks, to adjustable keyboard stands, because we commonly use our own pro-audio gear. Productive Wood Drum Shell Manufacturing and Testing
All of our drum shells are manufactured from hand picked quality poplar wood panels. The wood mill cuts and delivers to our factory proper sizes for our shells by a computer-controlled saw. After the gluing, rolling, drying, and sanding process, the drum shells are checked for a level check, and measured for accuracy at a 15% sample rate. Next, the laminate wrap is applied, and holes are drilled into the shell for hardware, and sands down the edges of the shell for snare beds. Next, all hardware, drum heads, and snare wires are assembled to the drum shells. Finally, before packaging and shipping to our warehouse distribution location, our quality control technician visually inspects all the drums, and does a performance sound test with a 5% sample rate. Once the testing and inspections passes our standards, the finished production ships direct to our loading dock, where our sound technicians perform yet another & final sound test before we enter the inventory as ready to be fulfilled.
We Take Sound Testing Serious.
Our instruments and studio equipment are sound tested by our hired sound technician. We focus on being competitive by offering the best offer, all while not sacrificing quality of sound. Since most everyone at our brand has an extensive musical background, we are very rigorous in the sound testing process of equipment. Additionally, it allows us to act quickly and communicate efficiently with our factories production manager on when we see a need for improvement. Before and after each batch run from the factory, our instruments are tested to confirm the quality, pitch and sound specs remain consistent from our previous production orders.

I just received this awesome snare drum I switched the drum heads and let me tell you sounds way better than I thought for the price this is a steal I love the paint job awesome 👌 👏

It does have some cheap parts on it. I replaced the heads and snare wire. The snare wire knob does not turn. I have to open it all the way and then adjust the tension. For a comoany that states it tests each drum, not sure how that was missed in QC. Value drum that looks nice

Looks cool for a kid or teen. Build quality pretty good for the price. Sound is about as bad as any cheap beginner snare.

Good sounding drum , nice to get a real bitch shell for this cheap , hardware and all isn’t to bad. Only thing is the skins are sooo thin and kind of cheap , once you change them and tune it , this drum sounds excellent!

The snare is just as adveetised, a sound projector with nice tone and resonance. It has a nice crack to it , although the ring is audible, subtle muddling to taste is the recommended approach. I have enjoyed the experience, would buy again

This is my 3rd Griffin snare. They just sound awesome! One of the least expensive on the market too. Geekstands.com is awesome too! Even got a handwritten note from Fletch, one of the staff. Highly recommend the drum and the seller! Going back to them for a few cymbal stands soon!

i found this snare to be well made and a great value for a wood shell drum. I did replace the heads so I was able to inspect the quality of the construction and found it to be very well made. My only critique is the snare wires were a little on the thin side (for my taste) so I did replace them as well with a 20 strand one. overall I am happy with this purchase.

So I ordered this for my son for Christmas. He is just started learning to play at school. So thought I would get him a brand new drum for home. This drum looks great and sounds great. What shocked me is geek stands sent me a handwritten note with it saying thank you. so to them I say your welcome and thank you for a great sounding and cool looking drum. Will be using them for future purchases.
