I purchased several roller blade wheels for $2 at a garage sale and modified the skid plates to accept them. A couple of $'s for bolts and they have been working great for three years, never need to adjust them or have to replace the scraper bar. Should of patented them! Now I am working on modifying my craftsman 928 skid plates the same way. I have also used 1/2" nylon cutting boards to replace the metal skid plates but need to adjust them every couple of uses.
