This footrail turned out great. It was simple to assemble. The foot rail has thick walls and after install felt solid.I would recommend using a towel and a block to tap the pieces together to prevent any visual blemishes.

I was pleasently suprised with how great these bars are. I was expexting cheaper quality based on the price. But these are great and durable!Pro-tip if you buy these= remove the set screws before installing the bar, once location of bar is set, install and tighten the set screws... you can clearly see from other peoples reviews they didnt remove the set screws and they scratched the bars...

Its needs to be powder coated instead of paint it does scratch easy but FYI take the set screws out when assembling. I had one piece that wasnt fully painted not a huge deal i turned it to the under side. take a plier and pinch the tabs down to get caps to fit.

The size and scale of the footbar is a great accent and finish to my custom carved African bar. Only one downside - the paint does scratch easily. However, by reversing the set screws to be flush on the inner diameter the scratching is minimized. Installation requires a drill, level, screwdriver, a hex tool (provided), a basic carpentry skills. The end caps are very tight, so I used pliers to slightly depress the outside row of teeth, then tapped it into the bar using the bubble wrap to protect the finish. Almost wishing I had purchased the corner connectors to wrap the foot bar. All in all, it's beautiful and matches the antique-style steel casters, also purchased through Amazon.
