You need this tool,I had enough with using a screwdriver and a hammer to turn the bottom bracket ring and decided to buy the right tool for the job.Fortunately, it 1. Worked! and 2. It was in bicycle tool bag in house, and not in tool bag on the bicycle stolen from sister in law's side front yard, (it was locked up).This Amazon Product came when it came.The MASTER bicycle combination lock, "2-day Shipping" came 2 days late, (4 days Shipping actually). The bicycle was stolen 1 day BEFORE I received it.

Didn't work as good as I thought it would, and I ended up getting another tool from eBay, but yeah this tool doesn't work very well.

This is an inexpensive, well made, very tough little tool. I let my bike get wet, well LET is a strong word. I had to go to work and it rained hard. When I went home well, you can guess. Lots of squeaking and groaning from the crank.So I saw this and had to order it. I had never done this before. I found that a pipe and rubber mallet came in handy to persuade the wrench to work but nothing wrong with using leverage. That's my recommendation. I have found that sometimes this kind of tool will slip a bit but this one didn't. It worked fine. Griped the slot as needed and with just a little work it came undone. When it came time for assembly it worked just as well except in reverse. Given the finish I'd say this will probably never rust either. My local bike shop sells a similar one that is a cheap import for $7.50 so this is a good deal in my opinion.

This is a great quality hardened steel wrench for removing bicycle cranksets and pedals. It is thin, but very strong. The crankset removal hook wrench will remove all standard cranksets. I highly recommend this bicycle crankset wrench!
