I purchased this kit to fix the surround on a 8W3v2, knowing that it wasn't designed for that model. I used an X-acto knife to trim the inside and was able to make this work.I followed the instructions exactly as written and was able to resurrect a sub that was effectively garbage.I don't know how long my repair will last, but I'm satisfied with the result and couldn't ask for any more.I would strongly recommend this kit for anyone who has the *actual* model of sub it's sold for, you will save several hundred dollars per speaker with this kit.While you're at it, get a sub guard so you don't have to do the repair again ;-)
