Description is misleading. The "gasket" is 1/2" thick. It is just 8 layers of cheap cardboard glued together and just waiting to delaminate. Some of them were already coming apart right out of the package. 1/2" of non compressable delaminating material is not an air tight gasket. You can make a better gasket yourself with the empty amazon box and a pair of scissors.

layers of cheap soft material could tell it will start delaminating after awhile and no where near oem quality . I don't know why I can't still get replacement from cerwin vega .

Great for rear mounting speakers onto a baffle. Provides enough clearance to prevent cone "slap".
