Classic bait and switch, looks good all metal brass...not. Wrong item is pictured, in fact when you receive it you’ll see it’s just a rebadged Nissens heater core with plastic nipples. Plastic is inferior, I just pulled a plastic/aluminum nissens out with broken nipples. Not worth the cost at all. The OSC version is all metal-aluminum and cheaper, get that one or some other metal version.

Thought I was purchasing the item in The picture provided which is that of a copper heater core the same as the volvo OE. The item being sold is actually a silver aluminum heater core. I should have read the product description before hand. If the fit is correct I will update to 4 stars but as of now not very happy with the misguided post I would have kept looking for a proper copper one.

Has worked well for several months. Installation in my 940 was a beeeitch! Not the part's fault however, just the crazy design of the car. Like some have said “they set the heater core in the middle of a room and built the Volvo around it.” The core it's self fit well and appeared to be solidly constructed. The price was right compared to the Volvo OE part ,which as far as I could determine is no longer available. Over all I'm happy. If it doesn't leak and stays that way until I'm done with the car or my life, I will remain happy. I do not want to do that repair again any time soon! A major PITA! On the plus side my sister-in-law, who has a lot more money and sentimental attachment to her 960, had the Volvo dealer do her heater core replacement and they charged her $2700!!! My repair only cost me $80 my time and patience! The Brickboard.com has some very good instructions on doing this repair on a Volvo 900 series. If you’re going to DIY ...check that site out.

Parts check says 'match' but measurements are incorrect, or posted in wrong scale. 14.7x8.8x7.2 inches fits in a passenger car for a heater core? I find that hard to believe. No clear, simple way to contact the supplier.
