I bought a 2007 CLK350 (W209) Cabriolet with 75K miles and I noticed the car would lose power and the engine turn off while driving for like 3 seconds and then turns back on. The problem was sporadic, sometime it happened, other times it didn't but it made me uneasy about trusting the vehicle and I shied away from driving the car in case something serious happened and it caused an accident. Luckily, I started researching the problem and I narrowed it down to either the crankshaft position sensor (CPS) or an issue with fuel pump/filter or Fuel railing/injectors! I started with the "easier" fix and I ordered this part, which is highly rated and it was available delivery next day. There are not too many videos online on how to do this job but it's a sensor that goes inside the engine (It's located near the firewall on the driver side). I can't see it but I can feel it with my hand. I took few pictures with my phone so I know what kind of bolt/screw I am working with. There aren't too much room and if you have gorilla hands or left handed, you are SOL!I didn't have to remove other parts to access the sensor because my right hand could fit but I ended up with 100 cuts and bruises when it was all said and done. You will need a 1/4" socket wrench and 6-8" extensions and in my case it was a Torx Screw (star shaped) and I used a T10 bit. It took about 2hrs to take it off (it would have taken me 30 minutes had I known exactly what I needed to get the job done) and about 1.5hrs to clean the electric connectors, put the new CPS in and get the screw back in the hole. YOU DON"T SEE ANYTHING!!!! YOU ARE JUST FEELING YOUR WAY WITH YOUR FINGERS!!!!Do yourself a favor and go to HomeDepot, after you get the screw out, and get yourself a spare because you will be crying if you drop and lose the screw. After replacement the car started fine, but the engine turned off after 20-30 seconds (Scary! but I think the ECM was learning the new position of the sensor... whatever). I started it again and this time it ran fine, I took the car for a spin and I was a bit nervous but it never turned off while driving. I drove the car after that for a week, about 400 miles and no issues at all. Hope this helps someone and gets you saving some money.

Amazon claims part will fit, does not fit my car at all. Complete waste of my time. Shame on Amazon for their horrendous return policy. Making me wait around all day to return a box to driver. They make it so difficult to return an item. Definitely deleting Amazon after this experience!Update:Getting a refund has been a hassle as well. Item returned and 9 days later...no refund!!!
