The product wasn't exactly what we needed, no fault of the manufacturer, but we managed to make it work.It came in a timely fashion. We had to have it cut into two pieces and then welded back together to create an off-set which allowed us to mount the alternator to the right of the 3 carburetor bank of our 48 F-2 flatbed pick-up.

I am installing this on my 1949 Mercury 8, it went on there fine but as another person said, you will need to make a trip to the hardware store as some bolts need to be shorter and the fan bolts are a different thread, with that being said the part fit just fine. I also needed a longer belt, I went from a 24.75" to a 27" but other than that it is good.

Some details were missed. The original alternator bolts are a different size thread. the ones in the bracket are 7/16 by 14 pitch the ones originally from ford are 7/16 by 20. Be prepared to go to the hardware store again.
