inside dimension is not true to 2.5 expect wiggle room. bottomed threads of bolts were damaged and needed to be cut off .

Appear to be very solid, however they are 2.75” inside measurements, not 2.5”. Returning, they will not fit my 2.5” axles or plates without slop

Great bolts for the homemade trailer we built. It's hard to find a good "cheap" set of bolts for an axle. These aren't cheap but probably the best value you'll find. Likewise I'm not sure cheap would be the way to go to hold your trailer axle on. Just suck it up and get these so you have no worries.
