ARC stud mount steel rockers are specially machined to allow for larger springs and retainers with full-cage friction reducing needle bearings for added durability. The nose rollers and shafts are Cr40 steel, heat-treated and hardened to minimize the wear that naturally occurs between the roller tip and the valve stem. The only issue I had was 1 of the trunion bearings felt rough instead of smooth when you rotate it....the tip seemed fine....if you have ever put a u-joint cap on and did it wrong you know what I mean....so I soaked them in cleaner then soaked them in oil for a few days but the problem remained....I reached out to KMJ performance and they said it should be fine and did nothing futher to fix or stand behind the product....I really wanted to give these roller rockers 5 stars but with 1 bad apple in 1 box, I will anyway as I want others to see this and hear the truth about the product....maybe my box was the only one with a defect and you will be just fine....I have lots invested in this motor and "it should be fine" doesn't sit well....good luck and happy building.... ****UPDATE**** After a few thousand miles l, I pulled the valve cover for inspection....On the right bank I had 3 if them with groved wear on the tips....I pulled them off and they felt like the tips were grinding inside....I haven't checked the drivers side yet as I waiting to get new rockers from another source. When I pull those, I will update again....just to be clear, I used guide plates and the wear pattern was where it needed to be on the valve stems....maybe I just had a bad batch but I would not recommend these.Update**** Changing my review to 1 stars instead. After 2000 miles I also have several that are wearing funny on the tips. I have 1 on the right bank that groved on one side and 1 that looks like it has specks on the surface.... I have not checked left side yet but when I do I will edit again.

Had to open a few of the pushrod cup oiling holes and deburr some others.. Now after some use I'm getting unusual wear on the roller tip of some. Don't think the wheel is perpendicular with the pivot.Replacing with some Scorpion 1.7's.

They are perfect fit and finish are really high quality bearings are nice and smooth. Money well spent. Yes I would recommend to a friend.

These are better than stamped rockers however are not tight tolerance , high strenght race type rockers for high lift and high RPM. Will work for low RPM and lower lifts. Better than aluminum

I really liked the quality and craftsmanship. Good product! Definitely a great quality product. And the performance they deliver was awesome! Installed them on my 350 bored over .040, with flat tops, thumper cam, and head work, and boy what a difference from stock do theae make. Love the throttle response!
