Bought two, both have bash guards in the big ring spot. Very good quality and finish, as I would expect, but heavier than I expected holding them in the hand with some X9 3x10s. X7, X9, XO were great components, unfortunately SRAM has gotten rid of choices in components, is making heavier components in what they do offer and selling their better components for outrageous prices. I prefer SRAM GPX over the Shimano system, and that is the only reason I bought these cranksets, otherwise, I would only buy Shimano now.

175mm SRAM X5 alloy with 22/36t alloy chainrings was the original crankset. This one was a perfect fit for replacement. Nice to have all new components.

The seller has an inaccurate image of the actual crank set being sold. This crankset is the version with the protective bash guard that attaches to the large chain ring, and does not look like the one shown here. Not a big deal but would be nice to know what you are getting before purchasing.

Mine came with a bash guard that was not shown in the picture or in the description. Everything else, gears, crank size, were correct. It wasn't a big enough problem for me to send it back, since I ride some terrain where there is a chance of smashing gears, but I would have rather known before I bought it. Other than that it looks good.

Large chip came off a chainring tooth on the large ring on my first ride out (apparently from shifting on a hill). Also heavier than my previous triple for some odd reason. The quality I have seen on other SRAM cranks (including x5 and x9 cranks I have) isn't there.
