The crank is the very center of our X-Range gearing philosophy. With tight 13-tooth gaps between chainrings paired to wide-range cassettes, riders get more range while shifting less frequently and staying in the big ring longer. Previously only available on RED, our integrated chainrings are light, stiff, and incredibly durable. The black finish mated to dazzling glossy carbon arms will elevate any bike.

I needed some lower gearing on my 2x11 SRAM Force gravel bike. I tried going the pie-plate in the back route, but that wasn't working with my 2x setup, so I decided instead to get a smaller crankset and picked up this. It does work great and I did not need to change out my front derailleur (11-sp Force cable-actuated), though I did drop it down a few mm on the seat tube. Just as an FYI, if you are installing this on a bike with a BSA BB, you will need to get the SRAM DUB BB part number 00.6418.015.004, not xxx.001. The 004 PN BB has the correct 2 shims that you need for installing this "wide" crankset on your 68mm bottom bracket. The 001 PN has 5 shims, none of which are the correct ones for this installation. I ended up ordering mine from Performance Bike as they actually had it in stock. Why SRAM doesn't just throw the 2.5mm and 5.5mm shims in the 001 box is a true mystery.
