My 25 year old Image Concept 100 speakers are good as new and sound amazing. Comparing the sound to my other speakers (KEF Q150) these are much better. I was surprised that attaching the new foam surrounds took no more than 10 minutes of work not including some breaks in between steps. Getting the old foam off took longer but was easy. Overall 10/10 experience.

Replacement foam worsened sound quality, speakers sounded much better with original dry rot, torn foam. Although the repair was very easy and seemed to come out as intended, I regret making the repair.

Seems well made, easy to install, note, you will need solvent or isopropyl alcohol to clean up.The brush is useless. Glue is too thick to use it effectively and the bristles come out. 24 hours and sounds like new.

First time I’ve replaced foam on a speaker, it was pretty easy. Careful with the adhesive, it’s super sticky! You only get once chance to position it right before it’s stuck. Both speakers sound great now. Quality foam wont get brittle and crack again.

Following the instructions I was able to repair a pair of speakers that were over 30 years old. And they seriously sound as good as new! So glad I discovered that there was such a thing as a repair kit while I was searching for replacement speakers. As long as you have a little bit of patience and gumption to repair instead of throwing out good speakers I highly recommend going the repair route.

Replacing the foam surrounds on my legacy speakers was easier than I anticipated. Springfield Speaker provides great instructions and the product really is outstanding. I have purchased similar products from other manufacturers that are thinner and cheap feeling. This one is solid and just what you would expect. Couldn't recommend it more highly!

*****UPDATE 11-15-19*********It’s been a year and a half since I fixed my speakers. They still sound great and the foam has held up well! Still would highly recommend this versus buying new speakers***********************************I bought this speaker foam repair kit wanting to fix my Yamaha speakers that I bought years ago. I had noticed my old foam rings getting bad as the speakers started sounding terrible. Rather than buying new speakers or spending a bunch of money on someone repairing my speakers for me, I decided to try fixing it myself. I have never done anything like this before but consider myself pretty handy. I bought this kit and went to work. The instructions looked pretty intimidating at first, however, after I started the project I found it very simple. It took a little longer than a day to let the glue dry but now my speaker sounds as good as new. I highly recommend this kit. Instructions are easy to follow and for $20 your speaker can sound as good as new as well.
