I gave four stars because this has only been installed a few days. It was installed on a 2000 Jeep Cherakee sport. 4.0L w/automatic transmission. The Jeep start after installation and has been working since. Originally, it would run for 20 minutes to an hour. Then die. It would not restart unless it cooled down for a half hour+. The fuel pump was replaced because it did not hold fuel press when shut down. That only fixed the long crank issue. Not the stalling issue. The original crank sensor had a soft spot on top. Breaking it open showed water and oil inside. I'm guessing when it got hot, it no longer worked shutting the engine down.

My 98 Jeep XJ was having a crank, no start issue while it was hot. I replaced the CPS in hopes to solve it and this one seemed to have done the trick. Harness was same length as the factory one so it went right into place in factory retainers. Easy job, took less than 30 minutes start to finish.

This sensor is junk. Read that it is made in China, and finding a good one is very hit or miss. Mine worked great when cold, but when the engine was hot it would never start. Every morning I had to spray it with the garden hose to cool off the sensor so the Jeep would start. Bought a Standard Motor Products "blue streak" version, and it works great hot or cold. (Rock Auto)-----its worth the extra money! The OEM MOPAR sensors are impossible to find right now, but the blue streak brand seems as good if not better. Dont waste your time and money buying cheap China jumk sensors!

Engine was cutting out intermittently when hot, restarts fine after a few minutes cool down. NO ODB code of any kind. After many months it finally threw a P1391.Crank and Cam sensor it is.So far, so good.

Precisely the part needed, and very affordable. The shipping from Amazon was awful (required signature) and resulted in three attempts and 3 day delay. Not what I expected on a sub-$5o part and as a Prime member.
