Typical marine shore power chords can not interface deep enough to twist lock into this receptacle. I do not believe the lock ring would provide adequate contact of the male contact pins as they should twist and lock. This is a great receptacle for non molded power chords or chords with replacement ends. Hopefully the manufacturer redesigns this as it is a quality unit. It should get 5 stars for build quality but it does not work with the type of chords you would expect to use with it.

Plug fits in perfect but it won't twist. So now the cord will not stay in the receptacle.
