The magnets on this are insanely powerful. I don't feel like it is going to fall off. It is very very very solid heavy duty construction it doesn't feel cheap at all. The rubberized footpads make me more comfortable using it on my car roof without scratches. Even though it is a random piece of kit for those who would need it it is absolutely worth it.
