Anyone who works in audio/video/broadcast/content creation/streaming is very familiar with the "magic arms" we use all over the studio.These and the smaller versions made for Starlink are the exact same thing, but BIGGER and STRONGER than the usual ones. While this one isn't much longer than most standard photo/video "magic arms" it's definitely thicker and the tightening mechanism is much more substantial.The included clamp is VERY HEAVY DUTY. I've genuinely never seen a clamp this style that's THIS big and strong.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Starlink Mini Mount through the Vine Program, and I wanted to share my thoughts on this adjustable clamp mounting kit. Initially, I acquired it with the intention of repurposing it, and so far, my experience has been quite positive. However, I do have some reservations about its intended use.First off, let me highlight the strengths of the mount. It serves excellently as a holder for my tablet, which I’ve attached to my headboard for convenience while watching TV in bed. The adjustability of the clamp makes it versatile, and while I did have to make a few minor modifications to suit my needs, they were not complicated and did not detract from the overall functionality. As a tablet holder, it has performed exceptionally well, securely keeping my device in place.However, if I were to use this mount as intended, I would be somewhat cautious. My expectations were for a more robust and durable product, especially considering it’s meant for outdoor use on RV ladders, guardrails, or vehicles. While I believe it will function as designed, I question its long-term durability, particularly due to the nature of its intended application—frequently putting it up and taking it down. This constant action raises concerns about wear and tear that could affect its longevity.In conclusion, while the Starlink Mini Mount excels as an improvised tablet holder for indoor use, I find it important to approach its outdoor application with some skepticism. For those looking to repurpose it similarly, it’s a solid option. But if you plan to rely on it for its original purpose, be mindful of the potential durability issues that may arise from regular handling. Overall, it’s a useful accessory with some caveats.

I was very surprised on the quality of this with the description the seller gives. But this thing looks to be a beast!The clamp and pole mount adapter are solid aluminum! There is no cheap plastic parts on this thing. (The handle on the tensioning handle is ABS but very sturdy)NO they did not pay me to write this review. This is probably the best thing I’ve ever bought from Amazon lolIt did take a long time to deliver over Christmas for paid shipping since the first one I ordered was lost and recommend to the seller to find a new shipper.
