Great design, but definitely won’t clamp onto a 2” OD pipe! Tried 1 1/2 pvc, nowhere even close to secure, and the base won’t even open comfortably past maybe 1”. To be fair, the allowable base dimensions aren’t shown, but it’s advertised up to 2” capability. Not my experience.

I ordered these not for an RV but for a tall pole we installed in the yard to get better reception. This all metal clamp worked perfectly connecting the Starlink to the grounded pole. Very secure and stable.

I got this clamp to attach an FM radio antenna to the ladder on my RV when we camp in one place for more than a few days. The clamp is well made and is easy to install and to adjust. It holds a three foot tall antenna support securely. That said, two of the clamps have rubber padding that improves the grip and protects the item you clamp in them. I put these on my ladder. The other clamp does not have any padding. I would rather that it did also. I will my own padding if I find some suitable material. May use a piece cut from an old rubber hose. All in all, not bad, but would be nice if all three clamps had padding.

My Use Case:I use it to hold a 50" umbrella (660g/1.5lbs) at a 45-degree angle by securing it with the double clamp (necessary due to the grip's thickness) and attaching the single clamp to the center post of a tripod. Once the single, center bracket is tightened more with the clamp's cross bar, the umbrella remains firmly in place, even when opening and closing it while mounted.Comparison:I previously tried a double clamp from Smallrigs with a rated load capacity of 3.5kg/7.7lbs. However, it struggled to hold the umbrella securely, and even slight adjustments would cause it to lose grip.Versatility:I would confidently trust this clamp to support heavier applications, such as a Starlink antenna/dish. The example shown in the product images has the single clamp attached to the Starlink post and the double clamp secured to a bar. My setup reverses this arrangement, but it performs equally well.Pros and Cons:It’s a thoughtful addition that two Allen keys are included; however, the absence of an open-end wrench for the center clamp is a minor oversight.Cautionary Notes:Vehicle Use: I would not leave it mounted while driving a car, SUV, or RV.Marine Use: On a boat, I’d be concerned about saltwater corrosion. Hasn't moved in over 1000 miles. I did not get for starlink and instead to mount something else. Unfortunately it did not work as is with my security camera/solar mount. That does not take away from its purpose and holding up so far outside and on my rv ladder

I ordered this particular clamping device to obtain the individual clamps themselves, but I'm sure at some time in the future I will also use the aluminum plate. The aluminum clamps do appear to have all quality 316SS hardware and the only thing that is mild steel is the bolt that attaches the main clamp to the plate. So if you need a 100% seaworthy rig you need to replace that one bolt which is a very easy process. All of the aluminum appears to have good quality anodizing so if it's never deeply scratched it should be fine for any duty.We live on a seagoing boat and have very frequent need of clamps. What really stands out on these Aluminum/Stainless clamps is their strength and ease of installation & adjustment. These come tapped with both 6mm and 8mm hole patterns.I gave it 4 stars because I think the price is a little on the high side and that even the main bolt should be stainless steel. But it's a good strong set.all my best,dr
