The Stealth QR-2 for large handle rods. Stealth is the only rod holder that grips the rod handle, keeping your gear nice and secure. The patented technology releases when you pull up to set the hook. The CAM is EPDM elastomer, which is the same material that engine gaskets are made from. It works from -100F to +300F and is UV resistant. I had to sand down the nub on this mount a little to make it fit my scotty lake troll downrigger. The tightness is not the same level as scotty so in theory it would pop out much easier than a scotty mount. However with a downrigger the odds of that are much smaller than with something like a rod holder. Don't know why scotty doesn't make something like this. I'm using this on my Oldtown Salty PDL with plastic tracks. It would be a 5 star review if it had the tightness of scotty mounts.

It's a well made mount that I'm excited to use on my Hobie Outback, but it's REALLY difficult to insert a Scotty gear head. The tooth that locks the Scotty tool in is just 0.5mm or so too big, so you have to align it perfectly and use a lot of force (I actually had to sand down the head on my downrigger to get it to fit). Once the head is inserted the mount feels strong and there are no issues adjusting the rod holder.
