Opsoopi Brand Chain Wheel Lock.Pro:The construction of the lock seems sturdy.Cons:I did not test this assumption, but it seems a chain might be easier to cut than a solid steel bar as used in other designs.Comfort issue:The lock adds 2 1/2“ to the height of the seatbelt latch so it not only hits your let much higher, but the solid lock housing is against your leg instead of the nylon beltSafety issues:The lock and latch inside the housing replace the NHTSA approved latch inside the seatbelt receptacle supplied by the manufacturer. The red release button is no longer visible when the belt is inserted in the lock, as the red button is on the side facing the leg. Additionally, the red release button could be pressed accidently by large items in the right pocket. The most egregious safety issue is that there is no protection from the driver accidently pressing the silver lock button on the top back side of the housing when the belt is inserted. This LOCKS the belt in place and the driver cannot get free without the key. While you may have the key handy, in an emergency, every second counts. Additionally, the keyhole/lock are on the top back side, and with the belt inserted, space is limited to get the long key between the seat and the lock. (See the included detail photo with the belt installed in the lock housing)I cannot recommend this Wheel Lock.

I was shocked by the quality of this steering wheel lock when I received it. This anti-theft lock is not made of plastic like other products on sell. It is a combination of alloy aluminum and stainless steel, which is not easy to cut, giving me a sense of security. I use it in my car. It is very easy to install, the manual is very clear, and it only takes a few seconds to complete the installation. I really enjoyed it and recommended it to my other friends!

Most items here in amazon are evolving forward and has minor improvements to major changes that it starts to fix some flaws. I have one of this years ago that is made of a thick cable that you tie around the steering wheel and into the seatbelt buckle. It takes a few steps but seems to be the most convenient than other anti-theft device out there. This one is pretty weird but takes a few steps less. It has the buckle and the cable into 2 parts. You need to place the buckle device first that you need to leave and will now be a part of your daily driving adding a few inches on your seatbelt buckle but I am more worried about the fact that it will trick your car into thinking your seatbelt is in place. Wrap the chain into the steering wheel and lock it in seatbelt buckle and press then button on the keyhole. To get it out, use the key to unlock the main lock, press the red button to release the chain and unwrap it to start driving. My 2 biggest issues are that you might lock yourself while in your own seatbelt. If you accidentally press the lock button while wearing your seatbelt, you will need the key to get out and hopefully you have it. I wish they just made the insert on the chain unique enough to lock it without getting locked by your own seatbelt. Might be a disaster if the key is not within reach or not in your pocket (like in your bag that you cannot reach when seatbelt is on). Other issue is that you need a long narrow allen to release the 1st part from your own seatbelt buckle. Pretty frustrating if you lose it. It also takes a bit of wiggling to get it out. This changes feels like a good idea but in the end, it has some quirks that should have been designed better. It solved some major problems but created more on its own. Best way is to know the possible disadvantages so you can prevent them from happening. I prefer the old way than this but it is still a good product, just not my first choice.

There’s no doubt in my mind that this would help to deter car theft. Something visible that will convince a car thief that a different car would be easier to steal will deter theft. That said, I’m also certain that a determined car thief would be able to circumvent this lock with the proper tools and enough time. So, they would likely just move on to another car.Instructions for using this are relatively simple (also see the instructions on the product page). Testing the lock mechanism proved easy enough, and it all seemed to work well. What kept nagging at me, though, was the possibility of accidentally “locking” the latch with the seat belt in place (not the chain). Should that happen, you would need the key to be able to unlock the seat belt to get out of the car. If this happened in an emergency, valuable time would be wasted (my thanks to other reviewers who have also pointed this out). As a result, I plan to always remove the lock so I can use the car’s seat belt buckle. That’s an extra step but it isn’t all that difficult.Construction quality seems good. I like that the chain is wrapped in fabric so it doesn't mar the steering wheel or other surfaces. Be sure to double check the “Not Suitable” models on the product page. This will not work in ANY Honda, and there are other models as well in which this won’t work.Overall, I would rate this as four stars and would recommend this to a friend with an explanation of my concerns mentioned earlier in this review.I hope you find this information helpful.
