These flange bolts for a variety of areas on a number of Subarus, from turbo downpipe mounts to exhaust flanges and more.The main benefit of this bolt over other aftermarket parts is that this is a precision made part built to Subaru OEM spec, and includes a treatment that gives it great protection against heat and corrosion (presumably, this appears to be a nitride treatment). Most aftermarket books for similar applications are going to be either zinc coated (poor heat protection), stainless steel (poor strength), or galvanized (poor precision and longevity of protection).For anything in your exhaust track, if you want your nuts and bolts to last longer than a couple of years (at best), the extra couple of bucks on this and the matching flange nut over some cheaper and inferior part is absolutely worth it.
