Caught a 28 pound California Yellowtail on this line using a Penn Slammer. Anyone who knows this fish (the Jack family) knows how hard they fight. The line is limp, but strong. I use Izorline XXX on my Avets.

I was looking for a 20 lb test line for use with large spincasting reels. After a fair amount of research, I chose this line because many reviewers on various websites stated how limp and soft this line is. Based on that, the line should be a great match for a spinning reel, or especially suited for a spincaster (closed-face reel). Put to the test, however, this line simply does not perform as expected. It has way too much memory and stiffness for reasonable use on large spincast reels, like a Zebco 888, 808, etc. To be clear, the line is decent and would probably perform well on a baitcasting or conventional reel set up. Also, to be fair, the only lb test I have used in this brand is 20. Admittedly a heavy line for a spincaster, but other lines in that class, such as Berkley Trilene Sensation, work very well on those same reels at the 20 lb weight. So, decent line, but not worth the extra cost as compared to original Stren or standard Berkley lines like Big Game. One further minus - not very strong for the diameter line. Not even close to either original Stren or Berkley Big Game breaking strengths.

The Sufix Elite20 lb line is ideal for Tarpon tournaments.20 lb lines are the strongest lines allowed in Tarpon Tournaments in Costa Rica, the yellow color provides a fast "eye" location of the line and the fish (very useful when several lines are in the water). The 330 yard spool fits perfectly any Shimano Tekota 600 or similar reel (Abu 7000, etc.). Resistant to abrasion, this line allows long fish fights without replacing it.

This was just what I needed. Even though I put it to an unusual use, this product was strong enough when I put it to the test. Last spring, in an art course, I was assigned a mobile. I needed something virtually invisible and strong, on which to hang pieces of metal and wood. This was just the ticket! I was able to tie it where necessary, and it held the heavier items without any stretching or tangling. I would recommend Sufix Elite 20 Lb fishing line for all sorts of art or jewelry applications. And I have plenty left over for my next product.I cannot really review its use in its typical application - fishing, since I do not fish. That wold have to be from the next reviewer.

This stuff is amazing ! I took it kelp bed fishing and every time I got hung in the kelp it pulled free. Its so limp that you don't expect it to be as strong as it is. My new favorite line all the way.
