Your cart is empty. Aquila Sugar Ukulele strings are made from a material made from biomass plastic material derived from sugarcane. It has a high transparency appearance and is very smooth on the surface, but still gives you a firm touch feeling.
The sound combines sweet, rich sound with nylon strings and fluorocarbon strings with both clarity and response. I think these strings sound great when playing chords or strumming. I have been using them about a month now and when I play finger-style they are still quite squeaky.

These strings transformed my solid mahogany soprano . okay they do squeek a bit when new but that goes away after a few days . My uke is louder, brighter, warmer has more sustain and better projection. What's not to like.

It should be noted that the original sugar strings has issues with squeezing which would go away in time. Aquila released a new squeakless version of these strings. This should resolve the squeaking that existed with the initial release of the sugar strings.

For "squeakless" string, that is about all they do. I had put this brand low G on my uke to change things up, and they squeaked alot. I thought maybe it was just a bad set. So I swapped them out for my other set which was high G. These are even worse. The strings have been broken in for about two weeks so there shouldn't really be sounding like this. Sounds like Kronk speaking to the chipmunk in The Emperor's New Groove.

Bought these for a change and i really like the sound of them. They made an almost squeaking sound when i first put them on, but after theyd been on and used for a few days this went away for the most part. Also like how theyre clear

I recieved the strings in a timely fashion and everything was in order. However, the strings are just not very good. They had a good enough sound right away but after about three days they started to sound dull. Also, there is a terrible screeching/squeaking noise when sliding across the strings. It's like nails on a chalkboard. I wouldn't reccomend these strings.
