It's just a perfect addition for a baker! I make our breads, rolls, biscuits, etc from scratch so I got this to sprinkle flour when rolling out dough. It's super easy to use, easy to clean and it "dusts" the perfect amount of flour. It's so simple and just perfect for any "dusting" job in the kitchen. Get it! You won't regret it!

Very easy to use. Load with powdered sugar to give waffles or pancakes a controlled dusting of sweetness, much better than having to sift it with a strainer and teaspoon. Easy to clean. Works great for dusting rice flour over sourdough before cutting with a lame too.

My wife has been wanting this tool for ever but didn’t know it. We have always used a sieve to sprinkle powdered sugar onto French toast and other sweet things. It works but sometimes you get too much sugar in some places and not enough in others. This shaker gives you an even covering of sugar and you have more control over how much sugar you use. The plunger style opener makes it easy to fill.

This is a decent powdered sugar duster. I wasn't sure if it was actually stainless steel since it seems a bit thin, but I ran it through the dishwasher and it was fine. Aluminum (which I avoid like the plague) will react in a dishwasher, so it's the easiest way to ensure it's not aluminum. This is for sure not aluminum. I often make German pancakes, which require lemon and dusted powdered sugar. The stainless steel has thick enough holes that it prevents powdered sugar from getting clogged, but the holes are still fine enough that it dusts in a nice thin layer. This works far better than hitting a small strainer filled with powdered sugar against your hand. It's also dishwasher safe and easy to both open and close.

This is a really handy tool if you need to sprinkle powdered sugar or flour while baking. I use it for rice flour and regular flour when I am making bread, and it works exactly like it should. I have not had any issues with it at all. It is easy to use, distributes the flour evenly, and feels sturdy enough for regular baking. I am not sure why there are some negative reviews because I have been very happy with it so far.

This is a stainless steel, sugar duster ball, with a plunger-style slider to fill. The slider is smooth. The duster is well made and works exactly as expected. However, at $7.99, the price is much too high.I subtracted 2 stars because I think the price is too high. But this is the only reason. The sugar duster is perfectly fine. If the was priced competitively, it would be a good value.

If you’re using this for sprinkling powdered sugar or flour (or similar - I also use it to dust loaf pans with cornmeal), this lets you make a good job of that, although a little messy to fill. Filling the hopper isn’t that neat - you slide open the perforated top to expose the solid bowl, then scoop up the powdered sugar/flour, close and use. That action results in excess sugar/flour on the outside of the duster, so you need to try and shake off that excess or wipe it off otherwise you get unwanted little drops of sugar/flour. Cleanup is easy though, as is dumping any excess sugar/flour. If using for loose tea, the reverse is true - filling is easy and clean, while cleanup is a bit of a pain as the wet tea leaves sticks to the inside of the dispenser, the same as with any other type of tea strainer-type device, so not a criticism of this unit. All-in-all, a great little shaker or tea leaf holder and a very nice addition to our kitchen.
