I use this on the oil drain bolt on my 2018 Chevrolet Colorado truck. After I loosen the bolt with a socket wrench, I simply attach this to a locking extension and use it to finish removing the bolt. No oil gets on my hands and the bolt does not drop in the drain pan. I have one for every size oil drain bolt on all vehicles that I own.

This socket worked great for the application it was used for. Keeping the torque converter nuts from falling into the bellhousing. However, it is a very shallow socket.

great socket for converters to flywheel. Just wish it was deeper ,at times it not sure if its started .

I use this socket on an extension to pull out my oil drain plug after breaking it loose with a socket wrench. It keeps me from either getting oil on my hand or dropping the plug in the drain pan.
