No doubt, Sunex tools offer one of the most complete and toughest Impact Socket lines around. This 3/4 deep drive, 6 point impact socket is designed to tackle the toughest jobs with solid durability and keeps them pounding job after job. It features a radius corner design, causing the socket to grab the sturdy wall of the fastener instead of grabbing the corners, resulting in less wear on the fastener.

Connected socket to a 2' breaker bar to remove my gas water heater's factory-installed anode rod. First few attempts to loosen it didn't work, even with my 15-year old son holding the tank steady. So I used some extra 1.5" PVC pipe as a cheater bar (placed it over the breaker bar) and it provided me the leverage to quickly loosen the rod. Once I pulled out the 4-year old anode rod, I installed the new one then hand tightened it using this socket attached to the breaker bar.Note: this was the second socket I bought from Amazon this week. The first one's width was 1-5/8" (not disclosed by the seller on Amazon's site) and was too big to fit in the hole at the top of the tank containing the anode rod. While the water heater manufacturer said to use a 1-1/16" socket wrench for the job, they failed to mention the maximum allowable width of the socket (their customer service and tech analyst also didn't know!). They also didn't mention it in their instruction manual. Notwithstanding, the second socket I bought had a width of 1.4" (i.e., 0.225" smaller than the first one) and it perfectly fit in the hole and on the anode hex head bolt.

Ordered the 1 1/16" socket in 3/4" wrench size but was sent the 1". Was to be used on water heater anode rod so I placed it on the water heater for when I needed to use it which was tonight finally. Went to remove the anode rod and realized Amazon had sent me the 1" socket and the largest wrench I have is 3/4". Now have to buy an adapter to fix Amazon's mistake since I assumed I had received the right part and the return window closed back in May. Make sure Amazon sends you the correct size! I saw it was the correct 1 1/16" and didn't think to check the socket wrench side to make sure it was 3/4".

My lugs on my 1 ton were rusted stuck. I put a 4 ft pipe on my wrench and broke them loose
