  • We provide DOA coverage for all live animals. For snails, please wait 48 hours after acclimating them to your tank before contacting us, as they may require time to adjust to the new environment. Guidelines for Checking Snails: ⦁ If the snail’s operculum (the soft tissue at the opening) is firm and intact, the snail is likely alive and adjusting. ⦁ If the operculum is damaged, and there is an unpleasant odor, this may indicate the snail is deceased. We recommend giving the snails time to acclimate before assuming they are DOA. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if assistance is needed.
  • Aquarium Setup: Provide a spacious freshwater aquarium with plenty of plants and hiding spots. Mystery Snails enjoy exploring their environment, so driftwood, rocks, and caves make excellent additions.

Why Choose Mystery Snails

Diverse Shell Colors Each snail is distinct, offering a natural variety that enhances your tank’s visual appeal.

Peaceful Tank Mates Mystery Snails get along well in community tanks and are safe for shrimp and other non-aggressive species.

Low Bioload They contribute minimally to the tank’s bioload, making them a great addition to well-maintained aquariums.

Easy to Spot Their vibrant shells make it easy to locate them during feeding or checkups.

Slow and Steady Behavior Their calm, gentle movements add a relaxing dynamic to your tank environment.

Great for Observation Kids and adults alike enjoy watching their slow movements and unique shell patterns.

We provide DOA coverage for all live animals. For snails, please wait 48 hours after acclimating them to your tank before contacting us, as they may require time to adjust to the new environment.

How to Acclimate Your Mystery Snails:

  1. Float the sealed bag in your tank for 15–20 minutes to match the temperature.
  2. Open the bag and slowly add a small amount of tank water every 5–10 minutes, repeating this process for 30–45 minutes.
  3. Gently transfer the snails into the tank using clean hands or a soft net—do not pour shipping water into the tank.
  4. Leave them undisturbed. Some snails may take several hours or longer to start moving as they adjust.

Snail Observation Tips Some snails may take time to become active after being introduced to a new tank. It's not unusual for them to remain still while adjusting.

If you’re unsure whether a snail is adjusting or not, gently observe it over the next 24–48 hours. Avoid handling or disturbing them too frequently, as this may cause further stress.

I received the snails in 4 days with one extra than was ordered. All were different colors. I put them in my tank after opening them and all 4 were moving around within a couple of hours.

My snails arrived early packed carefully and had a heat pack to keep them warm. They are beautiful and all started waking up in less than an hour. Give them time to wake up don’t panic. I panicked and walked away from the tank when I came back he was on the other side of the tank … a watched snail moves slow so walk away for a minute lol Also the sellers are incredibly helpful even texted the next day to make sure all was well. Definitely buy from this seller!

I got 5 snails instead of 3! 2 of them where DOA! one of the DOA came dead floating on the top of the water. But it’s fine considering 4/5 where alive! And that’s amazing! They had a heat pack and was packed really nicely! Thank you so much!

All my snails arrived alive and well. They were crawling around a bit just after 45 min. We have been enjoying them every day. Loved the colors.

So it all went well. Recieved 4, ordered 3 so that was a plus. Thow, I text that number they send with the snails. I got no response. I was really trying to go ahead and buy another one same color as the one that died. But I guess I'll just look somewhere else.

Received 4 instead of the 3 I ordered. One is dead. The other 3 took a day to move around but are doing fine.
