Beautiful cat and fun project. It took me about 4 hours to make. The end result is stunning! I recommend it for anyone. This will be a gift for my coworker who recently experienced tons of stress due to her cat's surgery.

This kit is different than most of the table top diamond paintings. It is one piece of "wood" that is about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch thick. (I can't find my measuring tape so I'm guessing)While it does stand, it is not stable and will fall over easily. I think I will put a hook on the back and hang it on the wall instead since I don't really have table space.The picture quality is nice and has good stick for the diamonds.It comes with what you need to finish, wax, tray, baggies and double ended pen for single and triple placement.The diamonds look uniform and the silver backing isn't scratched up. Looks like plenty to do the job. I will be replacing some of the white ones with sparkly ones the poof ball on the end of his cap because I think the plain white will be boring.Comes in a box with all the goodies so good for gifting.A bit pricey for what you get though.

This is a really cute diamond painting gnome. It is on a half inch thick wooden cut out and stands on its own. The base, where the gnome's feet are, is fairly stable, but the piece will easily get knocked over if bumped. This set is not like a canvas that you have to frame or secure onto a flat surface.The picture of the gnome is detailed with pretty colors for the background. The diamonds enhance the design. The kit comes with all the diamonds to glue onto the gnome based on numbers that are printed on the surface. The gems cover the number once glued in place. There is a little plastic tray to hold the particular numbered diamonds you are using, but I found it easy to use a plastic palette with several wells to put the stones. I wrote the numbers of the gems next to each well using a dry erase marker so that I could find what I need.This is a fun activity, but it's for someone with good eyes. I did most of it, but handed it off to my daughter to finish up when my eyes felt strained. The box it came in has instructions, but they are worded as if done by a translation program. I found it easiest to just jump in by instinct and it was intuitive to figure out the process.
