I purchased these in November 2023. I was just getting around to installing them. I was missing a few screws and was well beyond the return time frame. Emailed customer support and received a response in about a day (couldn't find a phone number to call but the response was fairly quick) Long story short they sent the missing screws or bolts with no hassle and no charge even though so much time has passed. All I needed to do was verify the purchase. Finished result..they appear to be sturdy, had a young man about 240 pounds stand on them no issues and the look great. Really gave my explorer a nice look. Would definitely recommend these or this company if you have another type of vehicle. I can't comment on the long term just yet, but upon completion of installation I am satisfied.

Good design but amateurs who did the directions. Text on 1 sheet pictures on others. No exploded assembly views which would have saved paper and guessing what is said.

I bought a used 2018 Explorer Platinum that was nicely equipped but didn't have running boards or mud flaps. These running boards were a little finicky installing but once you get them positioned, they look amazing. There's a nice dam that goes between the running boards and the body to cover the gap that looks clean but also keeps items from falling into that gap. The added chrome looks great with the vehicles trim as well!

Install takes some time (about 3 hours) as long as you are pretty handy and have the right tools. Go ahead and buy the cobalt drill bits for drilling the frame steel. Even with those, it still takes a good drill with a few batteries and some muscle. They look great and are very sturdy.

They are super nice once installed but the journey shouldn’t be underestimated. I’d say the instructions were decent but lengthy. Setting up the brackets were not a problem either. Lining up the boards weren’t that big of a deal however, the drilling was the proverbial elephant in the room. All I have to say is be ready to buy a pair of specific, 7/16 and 5/16, titanium or kobalt, drill bits. Also, have two drills ready with multiple battery packs charged. Another thing to consider is that you may need to use other smaller drill bits to get through the pinchwelds. That is some strong steel! Honestly, be prepared to spend a day or two installing the boards. I’m very particular in doing things correctly and this project was no exception. The outer brackets weren’t that big of a deal but the middle one was. I found that it was easier to install the middle one last for each side one side at a time. You can line the boards up with just the outer brackets first, measure between the two, then spend some time drilling the dreaded middle hole for the middle bracket. Just prepare to spend some time getting through the pinch weld. After you’ve got the hole done, prepare to pry the plastic molding back to get the backing plate with the bolt in it through so that you can secure it properly. Assemble the middle bracket from there and you’re good. It’s a tough install but you can do it.

Looks awesome when installation is complete. Instructions are horrible, no pictures of bolts, washers or nuts to determine type. Pictures on separate pages makes it harder to follow. A few bolts areNamed different in instructions than in parts list.
