This item is falsely advertised. the cup will not fit to a 3 and 3/8 inch gage and it is way overpriced for what you get. Mine came damaged and the seller would not answer my messages. My 3 and 3/8 inch gage would not fit even halfway into the cup either. I would definitely avoid this product and it seems the seller does not care that his product will not work as advertised!

I like the way this mount functions and the overall design. Be sure to measure your tach accurately. Mine was just barely too big for this mount. There is an expansion slot/gap at the bottom of the cup which allows the clamp to tighten to the tach. I took a hacksaw and just cut the gap about 3/4" further towards the back of the cup and it accepted by tach just fine. That is no fault of the product though. My boat runs about 21 mph top speed and the mount stays in position and doesn't move.
