I had this hooked up to my AEG so I could run a smoke simulator but still benefit from the tracer rounds. This thing worked really well at first. Bright lights, has a great hop up unit, and additionally seals to the gearbox in addition to the nozzle. However, the board components are totally exposed. They did nothing to seal the board as a whole. Thus, the tiny tiny little resistors and components fall right out after little to no use. (Literally, just test firing caused enough disruption to lose 2 resistors.) These components are far too small to repair or put back on manually, should you happen to somehow recover the microscopic pieces. The wires and plugs are also incredibly tiny, prone to damage. The barrel is a bit too small and required a slight bore to get BBs to feed properly. Without a bore, they jam in the barrel. The barrel alignment is also just slightly off. You can force the barrel in the extra 1mm or so to get the clips to align on the barrel, but not ideal.A great idea overall but very fragile and needs better engineering to be practical. Stronger wires, maybe an easier design to connect and disconnect during assembly, and covering the board components with some epoxy would make this a clear 5/5. With all the issues and modifications I had to do to get this working, I just can’t give this a good review for the average person to buy and drop into an AEG.I would give a 1 star for these reasons, but the concept is honestly super great and is worth at least 1 more star.

Works as advertized. Main issues is the wiring. First of all, when taking out the upper, you need to be mindfull of the cabling, and need to either disconect the hop-up wire or keeb the inner barrel with the lower receiver (which I find easier). I also cut the plug and connected the LED wires to the motor wires. That way the tracer unit only lights when shooting (so my battery should last a bit longer). Sometimes the first BB does not light fully as a result, but not a biggie for me, as the second one does. Also less stress on the battery connector, which is a plus for me.

Nice machining and flash. While I'm using this for a robotics competition (Mech warfare) and it won't end up in my airsoft guns it's really apparent that this isn't a drop in replacement for any of mine. My JG M4's spare barrel and cylinder assembly fits it properly though so it'd (hopefully) just be a matter of getting it in the receiver. Definitely some work needed.

I have the Maxx M4A - Pro.I purchased this unit to see if it would perform identically due to the lower price compared to, and visual similarities of a Maxx Hop-Up unit.It did not perform identically. This unit would not accept any combination of barrels/buckings/nubs installed as the machining of the unit internals are off or are too tight, causing bbs to jam, low muzzle velocity, inconsistent muzzle velocity, poor sealing with the nozzle tip and inability to feed bbs to the hop up.The only thing that works is the tracer unit.I ordered another Maxx M4A - Pro. No issues.I removed the tracer unit from this hop up unit and installed it onto the Maxx M4A - Pro I received.I tossed this hop up unit in the garbage.

I put this in my gun after re shimming my gears a new o ring on the piston head , new bucking and flat nub that i 3d printed, o ring nozzle. I actually lost FPS I went from 300’s to 110 bouncing up to 160, 180 down to 130. I put my my stock HopUp back in and back in the 300’s FPS

These hopups are a 1/1 copy of Maxx hopups… GREAT. They also come with the same issues as Maxx hopups. You will have to cycle through several bucking to see what works, also these are extremely picky about nozzles. Ignore the description on nozzle length, even proper length nozzles will give you issues. Lastly, magazine selection is extremely picky. Hi capas seem to be fine with lower spring tension, but most mid caps are not feeding properly. I will update when I find a cheap combination that works 100%, but keep in mind you’ll be spending 70+$ on something that is not drop-in ready. Illumination is great, and wire management isn’t hard with little modification. But a tracer is only good if bbs will properly feed through it.

Looks like it's great quality and a good hopup BUT... PAID ALOT TO HAVE THE PROSHOP INSTALL IT SO IT WAS DONE PROPER AND WARRANTED. YES THEY USED THE PROPER BATTERY BECAUSE THEY CALLED TO CONFIRM IT I THEN DOUBLE CHECKED THE ADD AND THEY SAID IT WILL NOT POWER ON AT ALLLL.. THEY TRIED MULTIPLE BATTERIES BOTH CONNECTION THAT COME WITH THE DEVICE EVEN HARDWIRED AND STILL NOTHING... I TRIED SEVERAL BATTERIES THAT NIGHT FROM OTHER PLAYERS THERE DIFFERENT SIZES POWER EVERYTHING I COULD IN MY POWER BUT ITS JUST SIMPLY A DUD... WILL GIVE A SECOND ONE A TRY BECAUSE I KNOW SOMEONE PERSONAL THAT USES THE SAME ONE AND IT WORKS FLAWLESS AND THE TRACER I FEEL IS BETTER THEN THE SCREW ON SUPPRESSOR STYLE ONES I FEEL IT GLOWS BRIGHTER..
