According to Tecnifibre, the X-One Biphase string uses High Heat Capacity (H2C) fibers, which allows the use of an innovative chemical treatment process called Trimerization. This new process increases the cohesion between chemical molecule links through extreme variations in temperature to result in ultimate dynamic efficiency (power) and exceptional feel. The new patented Biphasic process, with its visible marks on the string, extends string life by 20% and offers increased spin. Similar to its leading string, NRG2, the multifilament fibers within this string are immersed in polyurethane to provide shock absorption and optimum comfort.

Pros: Good power and spin. As close to gut as any string I have used. Holds tension well. Easier to string than a poly.Cons: Not very durable. Delivery time was slow.

My wholesaler would get this string to me for $16.00 two months ago. Now their cost to is 24.95 just like it is here and everyplace else. You may get lucky and find it for 19.95. It is a great string, but found a better alternative (not naming the brand) for 10.25 to me or $12.50 at on line tennis stores.

Can't get the top-of-the-line multifilament NXT 17 from Wilson. Have tried a couple other strings for feel/comfort/performance. This X-One Biphase is great, plays a little bit better, last a little longer, I won't be going back to the others.

I have used Tecnifibre NRG2, Wilson NXT, and Klip Excellerator (all 17g) and XONE Biphase is definitely my favorite. Best combination of pop and feel from my point of view. All are good strings- just depends on your own style of play. For now, this is my string of choice.
