They're designed for use with both friction ring anvils and detent pin anvils. Precise 12-point opening fits double hex (12-sided), hex, and square-shaped fasteners. Each socket size meets a minimum of 1.3 times the ANSI/ASME standard for proof torque.

The trays for the 3/8 sets fit in the Dewalt stackable boxes if you cut the tabs off that say Tekton, otherwise they are too long. Carefully score the tab on each end with light pressure repeatedly until it falls off using a box knife. Too much pressure might break the tray or maybe result in you cutting yourself. Bonus points for the socket sizes to be aligned so they are visible from the sides and for the metric to have red holders vs black for sale. Digging for the correct socket cuts into beer time and we can't have that.
