In a nutshell!😊1. Heats up instantly while pushing button2. Must hold down button to make it continue to work.3. It takes just a second to burn ends though. It says in directions not to use more than 20 seconds at a time or it could burn out motor.4. I was hoping that it would melt together the ends of the stretchy bracelet string below. It does not. It simply cut the ends off as you can see in the photos. I typically use metal findings and chain so a thread zapper is something new to me. I don’t know if there is something that really melts together the ends for added strength. So that is why I’m giving it 4 stars. It does what the description says it will do. But it doesn’t do more.5. This is a reasonable enough price for this.So, it’s fast and easy to use. The size is comfortable to work with and convenient.I hope that something here helps you decide whether this is the right product for you or not and here’s wishing you success and happiness in your creativity and in life!🎉

This is so helpful for my sewing projects or my jewelry hobby! It definitely helps seal off those ends and keep them from fraying, and I’m sure I can even find multiple uses for this! I’d definitely recommend this if you have sewing or jewelry making hobbies, or even just for small repair work here and there! Love it! And the price is great! Definitely worth it!

Wow! This heats up instantly! Came fully charged and ready to use. Came with a charging cable. Removed one star only because it didn't come with instructions. Im currently watching it to make sure its off. I think it is but without instructions, I’m not sure. I pushed the button and touched the tip to see if it was heating up and got a burn. It was literally 1 second to heat up. Worked well on my synthetic sewing thread. I used this to burn off the little bits at the end of my project. Its small and can easy stow away in a small sewing kit.

This is a surprisingly strong machine, it heated up fast and melted very effectively. For the compact size and being a rechargeable device, it has surprising power. It melts threads nicely, giving neat ends that don't fray. Especially for tiny snips or projects with narrow edges, like some sewing projects or beading, this is super helpful and allows neat seals without the risk of fraying later. And for yarn or string that can come undone, this seals it shut nicely, especially if it has any plastic substance. I have a pair of beloved scissors with very fine tips for finishing projects, but this will likely replace it with time, it's working great. One charge, and it's held up for a week of use here and there.

This little thread burner heats up FAST! You hold the "on" button while you are burning your threads. They recommend you not use it for more than 20 seconds at a time to keep the motor from overheating. Just touch the tip to your threads and voila! Yes, a light also works - but this is rechargeable and very precise.
