I have other shin guards that offer superior protection for intense training, but they take me a while to put on and take off. That becomes an issue when my karate instructor is telling us to put on our pads, QUICKLY! This is why I bought the Tiger Claw pads. They offer some protection and are great for the short-duration sparring sessions I have.

Bought Child Large for 4'4" son. He's 50lb and Large is little big, so he can probably use it 2 years in MMA. Very cushiony and cleaner than borrowing Dojo's sweaty guards! Good product.

I've been taking Taekwondo for a few months and to my surprise sparring was part of the program. After a few sessions resulting in bruises, it was time to look into getting some guards. I'm 5'8 and weigh about 170lbs and the medium size fit very well. This provided me the shin and foot protection I was looking for. Note you'll still get bruises from the "hard" hits but it better than not having any.

I replaced my son's outdated foam foot pads with these that also protect the shins. He's 11 and 5'1 and these are a little loose but not enough to slide off. I tried the mediums on him and they were too snug.These are easy to wash and the pads provide good protection. Not as nice as the WTF Adidas shin pad and foot but the cost is 1/4 the price.

I bought these to replace my original pair of shin pads. These are one of the better cloth shin pads on the market. They have an extra layer of foam padding running the length of shin bone. That's a big plus when you are sparring.

i've purchased 2 other shinguards (century, adidas climacool) and these are by far the best. there is extra padding just along the shin bone, beyond the standard padding of shinguards, and when i spar you can barely feel the hit on bone - which is great because i bruise very easily. they're comfortable as well. the sizing runs just slightly bigger than other brands, but i was able to fit in a medium (5'3", 140lbs) with it still fitting below the knee. EXCELLENT shin protection. it is a little bulkier than others because of the extra shin padding, but well worth it!
