About this item

  • Tomcat Attractant Gel can enhance the effectiveness of any mechanical rat or mouse trap
  • The desirable, gel-like consistency and "no mess" spout makes this attractant the ideal alternative to cheese or peanut butter
  • Tastes irresistible to mice and rats while being non-toxic to children and pets
  • Our mouse and rat bait gel comes pre-mixed and ready-to-use
  • Use with any mechanical Tomcat mouse or rat trap

Lure mice and rats to their end with ease. Tomcat® Attractant Gel can enhance the effectiveness of any mechanical rat or mouse trap. It has a desirable, gel-like consistency and "no mess" spout, making it the ideal alternative to cheese or peanut butter. Plus, its taste is irresistible to mice and rats while being non-toxic to children and pets. To use, place a small, pencil eraser-sized amount of Tomcat® Attractant Gel onto an appropriate area of the trap, then position the trap in areas of identified activity. Rodents have a natural tendency to run along walls as they move from hiding to feeding, so we recommend placing your traps up against the walls of rooms or cupboards where activity is suspected, such as kitchens, basements, or garages. Monitor your traps and move or rebait them as necessary. Use Tomcat® Attractant Gel with any mechanical Tomcat® mouse or rat trap.

Easy to use. A lil dab will do. Immediately attracted rats.

this is totally useless, first of all the tube did not work, no "eraser sized amount" came out of the tube and by pushing to squeeze anything out, you only squashed it - besides it did NOT attract a single mouse, don't buy this product

I ordered new traps for rats and after researching different bates I chose this one. It worked a great. It only takes a small amount and within two days I caught three mice. Since then I have not had any more mice but I keep the traps set with this bait in them.

I have used cheese, peanut butter and all sorts of things to attract mice. This definitely worked the best. Super easy to use.

Mice, mice mice...we live in a semi-rural area with 7 acres, wetlands and wildlife ... and mice! I use the usual traps with peanut butter. Also tried the sticky mats. All work, but mice never go away. I keep trying new tricks and purchased the Tomcat gel. Silly me, I left it in the bottle, in the box, for over a year. A few weeks ago, I notice white plastics bits all over the tool shelf. Why? The mice chewed through the cap (never opened). Wow ... if they are eager enough to get to the secret sauce in the closed-never opened container ... imagine in the trap!

I'm not sure if this is related to the product or to other factors with our local rodent population, but the first day I set out some traps I caught a small rat overnight. Since then, I haven't caught a single one. We also have a real squirrel problem but they're smarter than mice/rats and just dig around the traps. On the positive side it's pretty easy to add gel to the Tomcat traps. But I wonder if peanut butter would do the trick just as well for a fraction of the cost.

I can't yet speak to whether this is a good attractant yet, as I just received it and put in the traps. It is a thick gel and was hard to squeeze from the container, but I got a small dollop out to put in the trap. I will update this review, later, if it seems to work as a replacement for peanut butter, which can be messy to use.

For $6/oz this stuff better be amazing. We have rats around here that are smarter than the average bear because all the dumb ones have been killed by traps already, leaving only the smart ones who are smart enough to be afraid of anything new like tasty gourmet food in weird devices. This goop is not working any better than peanut butter, making it a complete waste of money and a bad value for the cost. Just save your money and use peanut butter or similar typical bait.If you’re going to charge 10x as much as peanut butter for rat bait that looks like the mutagenic goop in Prometheus, it better be either: 10x as irresistible to ratsas anything else, or turn things into Xenomorphs, or facilitate planetary panspermia or something. This doesn’t do any of those things. The giant bald headed aliens would be very unimpressed, as would the evil android, because the rats certainly aren’t.
