The bolts that are supposed to fit thru the slotted parts of the brackets are too big and will not fit. The slots are not wide enough to accommodate the bolts. That is a total of 2 bolts. I had to find some smaller bolts to make it fit and not sure that is adequate. May have to return.

There is no bracket to secure the rear side of the alternator, only brackets for the base and adjusting arm. Which best I could tell was supposed to secure through one of the fan bolts. I got it installed and ran the tractor for about 4 hours and the weld on the base mount broke(on the rear side of course).

Tried this design of 8N alternator bracket, Tried making adjustments but alternator always sits at an angel to the crank pulley.This is the second brand I have tried of these. If you use your 8N every day you will have to replace belt a lot. If it is an occasional use toy should be fine.No directions came with it either. I figured it out ok but am a mechanic with 20 years experience. A do it yourselfer may have issues.Hardware that came with kit is low quality and the galvanizing reduced the hole size so they had to be re drilled. But then again there is an awesome price point on it.Its ok. Not good. Not bad either.
