The edge guard fits my vintage Plumb carpenter's hatchet very nicely and closes securely. The overstrike hard is WAY too big for a hatchet. This set might work nicely for a 2 to 2.25 pound boy's axe, otherwise plan on dividing this set up between your axes and hatchets because the edge guard won't come close to fitting an axe and the overstrike guard is far too roomy for a hatchet handle, but would fit a regular axe handle well. Overall quality is very impressive, though.

I received this axe guard today for my new hatchet. I really like the look and the protection it will offer! The whole look is pretty cool, the leather seems to be of high quality and overall I'm just really happy with everything about this guard/collar. The only thing I don't care for is that there's a "perfumy" smell about it which, I figure just came from the shop where it was housed. Hopefully it'll go away with some time. Other than that, I'm very pleased!! Id definitely recommend!! 👍🏻

Fits my 3/4 axe perfectly, but would definitely not fit a five-inch edge or any similar axe.Great leather, fairly thick, and stays closed during hiking. Takes oil very well and looks like it will last.

Only took the cover off a few times. Now I have to try and match the rivets and repair it I guess. Poor quality.
