Mines fell off on my Lexus IS300 and replaced it with this and work fine. I made sure and put a cable tie around it to ensure it doesn't fall out again.

Be sure and check out the youtube videos on how to install. They saved me a of grief. I am not a mechanic, and it was 45 minutes start to finish. This includes the 10 minutes spent reviewing the videos halfway through the install.

My original sensor was reading way too low on the actual temperature. -12 when it was 60 degrees out. I was unable to unplug the original due to corrosion. I broke the original connector because of that. I was able to splice in some old solid core telephone wire and get this working.It originally read 32 or 0, but after leaving it overnight in the garage it works properly now.

This worked perfectly fine for me and gives the correct reading of the outside temperate within a couple degrees. My old part would only ever give a reading in the mid-50s. I'm not certain this is a genuine Toyota part, but it'll last for the rest of the life of my car, I'm sure.Removing the old sensor (located under/behind the front bumper on the driver side) was a little difficult - you basically have to break the white plastic tab pulling it out. Also, disconnect the sensor wire before trying to pry it out (just pull it straight out, there's no clip or anything despite how it may appear).
