Ktm xcf350 has not overheated since I put this on. I ride narrow tight slow trails and ride with my son on his 65 so I use to overheat quite a bit! No more. Before I had this I ran engine ice, But still overheated. I also added a higher pressure cap Tusk 2.1 Which has a temperature gauge on it. I think the combination of the fan the engine noise in the Really work together to help the bike to run cooler. But I would say the fan does brunt of it!It was quite easy to install.

A little pricey, but worth the cost in my opinion. Fit my 2009 KTM 250 XCF with no modifications, plugged into the existing ktm harness. quality product, comes on exactly at temp and turns off a degree lower. Easy to program and use. Very handy when stopping at the top of a long hill climb or when in the tight stuff.

Despite Amazon's site saying this would not fit a 2009 KTM 530, after checking Trail Tech's site I ordered the part. It fits perfect. The motorcycle is pre-wired for a fan so it was a relatively simple installation. The fan works perfect so I'm no longer boiling the radiator on hot days riding slow technical trails.

Installed on a 2009 KTM 450 EXC. Great bolt on install and it plugged right into my wiring harness. Quality product from Trail Tech. One complaint is that it's very hard (almost impossible) to read the temp sensor with my bike's plastics on but that's not a huge deal. I know I'm below 150 deg as long as the fan is off.

This fan has made my bike usable again! The 2008 KTM EXC-R 450 is a wonderful bike, but if you're riding it around town with lots of stops and idling, it will eventually burp coolant everywhere. It just can't handle the idling.I combined this fan with some Engine Ice coolant, and a CV4 radiator cap, and now my bike stays cool. The fan was very easy to install. I had to drain the coolant anyway, so getting at the radiator wasn't an issue. It felt a little scary putting the screws in, because it bends a few of the radiator fins on the way in.This does not damage your radiator or inhibit air flow. The temperature sensor fits very snugly. There is no way it will vibrate out.It was very easy to program, as there is only one button. I took the time to ride it around on a hot day to see how high the temps got, then adjusted my fan threshold. The only con I've noticed is that the digital display is in an odd place. I have to pull back the plastic on my tank a bit to be able to read the display. This isn't a huge deal, and it is probably an issue with how the plastics are designed on my bike.If you're having cooling issues on your enduro, this fan is the best solution.

Overall, worked as advertised, so then why only 3 stars? Because for the price, this product could (and should) be better. The shortcoming are with the Trail Tech temperature meter. It's self-powered with its own internal battery, but there is no way to replace it. It's probably a lithium, so that won't be anytime soon, but eventually the internal battery will need to be replaced. A replacement meter costs $89, so it should have replaceable battery, or shut itself off when the temperature drops below say 100F, but reactivated whenever pressing the little button.Another shortcoming is the "adjustability", which works fine, but only over the range of 150 to 200F (as well as the equivalent temperatures in centigrade). The On and Off set points are the same. I would have preferred independently adjustable min and max set points.Lastly, there is no provision to mount the meter to the handlebars, nor is the lead wire to the fin type temperature sensor and the other wires from the fan to the meter, nearly long enough to do so. Trail Tech's "TTO" series meters have this capability and so should this "TTV" meter.A few other things about the product could be better.1. The lead wire to the fan look rather thin to be rated for supposedly a 3 AMP DC motor. The red lead wire in the optional DC harness to the 12V battery is large enough to handle the current, but larger than the rest of the fan wiring. ALL power related wiring should be adequate to handle the rating of the fuse provided in this harness (7.5A).2. I measured the running current of the fan motor. It draws a maximum ~2.5A at 13V. The fuse in the DC power harness should be lower rated to 5A max.3. From what I read on the Trail Tech website, the meter doubles as a DC Volt Meter, but apparently not the meter included with THIS product. That would be a nice troubleshooting feature. The same feature in this kit's meter would be very desirable.4. The meter does not appear to have a back lighted display and no way to turn it on even if it does, assuming an automatic back light mode exists. Again, the Trail Tech website states the TTV meter DOES have this feature, which appears to be untrue; at least for the meter included in this kit.Such a discrepancy may be because this kit's meter is an older version; the part number for this "universal" kit is 732-FN1, but there is another related part number (732-FN"A"1) which might be for kits with a newer version meter which supports back lighting and voltmeter functions.

Well written instructions. Easy install. Apparently good quality components. Includes wiring if your KTM does not have the plug ready in the loom.Rode 30 hard miles at Tahuya this Sunday. lots of stop start and 1st and second gear hill climbing. Fan set at 150 degrees came on and off flawlessly. Zero overheat or boiling occurred. YEsssaaaaa!!
