I needed this adapter for my 1966 Cadillac 429ci engine that used to have a carter carb. I wanted to switch out to an edelbrock with an electric choke but the bore was different. Found this is the only adapter that works with my engine. Came with gaskets and bolts, and fit like a glove. Bolted everything on, fitted my vacuum and fuel lines, and it started right up. Solved all of my problems with the old carb. No vapor lock, no leaking fuel bowls, no hard starts, and best of all, it runs like new!!

I bought this adapter to install a late model 4 bbl to an aftermarket intake manifold with the small 4 bbl bolt pattern. In order for this to work,I had to drill out the 4 holes in the center of the adapter, and countersink the holes for the adapter bolts. Not hard to do if you have a drill press (which I happened to have) but if you didn't have one it may be a little more difficult. The 4 middle hole locations are identified on the adapter, so there is no question where to drill the holes. It would have been better if Transdapt had already drilled these holes out.
