The Slash Ultimate handles and torque vectors much better with the center diff (fantastic power slides, massive power wheelies) but the plastic case doesn't handle 3S LiPo heat very well on high traction surfaces with the stock fluid. The center diff that came with my Ultimate melted and the gear completely stripped out while running on pavement on a warm day. Probably too much heat transferred to the spur gear from the motor. If you're running the stock hearing with 2S or lower power it should hold up a lot longer than mine. I tend to go full hoon mode every time I take the car out.I ordered a replacement for the seals so I can move my gears into a Hot Racing aluminum case that won't melt when it gets hot. If there was just a rebuild kit with just the rubber seals I would have ordered that instead.
