Hubs for Widemaxx with this are part number 8654 for anyone wondering. These work amazing though little bit squeaky installed out of the box obviously but just add some grease and it will make it go away. Overall there perfect.

Traxxas’s steel upgraded axle shaft kit for the Maxx V2/WideMaxx, purchased these as upgraded spares and they are currently sitting new on our shelf waiting for the stock plastic shafts to wear out or break. These steel shafts look good, and should work well when the time comes. Traxxas brand aftermarket upgrade parts, new in sealed box, arrived in good time with Prime.

I was breaking the OEM drive shafts EVERY TIME I went bashing. I think I went through 6 shafts before I decided to bitebthe bullet and buy the good ones everyone was recommending.I wasn't doing anything too crazy, but the 4S 120C 10,000 maH battery I was using delivers too much torque for the OEM driveshafts. After several weeks, I've been thoroughly satisfied with this upgrade. You MUST get 17mm wheel nuts with this upgrade. They dont fit with the small OEM nuts. Be sure to get the right 17mm wheel nuts, too. The ones in the pic were the wrong set for the Maxx (perhaps they're for the Stampede?). I had to re-order.Great purchase. Spend the cash. You'll save in the long run.

very good, they’re genuine traxxas. you will need 17mm wheel nuts and studs to complete the install, you cannot use the stock stuff so that adds about another $35

Great product but come on guys? Why we hitting that 100$ mark other than that I'd give it 5 stars. Hope to see a price drop

Traxxas to me makes the strongest steel drives. Used many other brands over the years that just bend and fail after a few runs. Just make sure you get the right axels for either maxxx or wide maxx there is a difference in lengths between the 2 trucks

they should come with the 17mm hexes for 150you HAVe to buy them if you want this to work and cheapest I've seen is another 30 so for almost 200 for 1 upgrade is high

I did the WideMaxx upgrade after having my Maxx for a week after doing so research that most owners will also upgrade the driveshafts. This will also require Traxxas #8654 wheel hubs and #7758 wheel nuts to complete the job. The install took about an hour and everything went together with no issues. I bash, jump and have a lot of fun and I just can't break this truck. I have a few other Traxxas R/C's and the Maxx is by far my favorite. Yes it's more money but just would not have the fun factor and takes the Maxx to the next level.
