This is a fairly standard fan for your desktop or your bedside table, with variable speeds, optional oscillation, and a digital readout. It differs from comparable fans by being battery-powered, and charged with a Type-C USB cable (included, but no adapter). It’s lightweight and portable, making it useful in both workplace and home settings. It’s too large for most backpacks and briefcases, but it’s small enough to carry by hand or stick in a suitcase.Because it runs entirely on battery power, it forces you to keep a constant eye on the power availability. It has enough power to run through the workday, or overnight, in the two lowest power settings. If you run it at higher speeds, it will run out much more quickly, obviously. And the oscillation setting will run it out of power far too quickly. If you want to run it long-term, I recommend getting an appropriate extension cord so that it doesn’t have to run entirely on battery power.Probably the trait I find most frustrating, is that it takes a long time to charge. I have run it out of power by running it overnight, and when I do, I have to leave it on the charger basically all day to power it back up again. This is a long time, especially if you want to have it on hand while working, resting, or recuperating from exercise. The battery isn’t exceptionally large, so I’m not sure why it takes most of a workday to get back up to a 100% charge.That said, it works well for the purpose for which it’s built. The battery notwithstanding, you may want to keep it plugged in under most ordinary circumstances, but be fair, you have plenty of compatible cords lying around anyway. Sure, I find the battery disappointing, but I find the motor more than satisfactory, and its top speed unusually strong for such a small fan. So on balance, I’ll take it, and just keep it plugged in while using it most of the time.

Produces good enough air but it rotates at the slowest possible speed. There’s function button that I can see to increase it so it’s limited!

Living in an older Vegas house where the AC only works properly in the living room is like living in a desert inside a desert. At almost 70 years old, in the middle of a heatwave, I’ve been relying on an ancient ceiling fan in my bedroom and a dinky plug-in fan my sweet neighbor loaned me. But the cord was so short, I had to cling to the edge of the bed like a mountain goat on a cliff just to feel a whisper of breeze. Picture me, half asleep, half dangling — not my most graceful moment.Enter the TriPole Rechargeable Standing Fan, courtesy of Amazon Vine. I was skeptical at first — it felt so light coming out of the box, I thought it might float away like a balloon. But this little fan is a mighty miracle! Lightweight and sturdy with a non-slip base that says, “I will not be knocked over by a Chihuahua stampede or a clumsy grandchild.” (Yes, I have both.)It arrived quickly, was securely packaged, and included easy-to-follow instructions and a long Type-C cable — unlike my neighbor’s “cord of despair.” Setup was a breeze (pun intended). It’s portable, foldable, stands over 2 feet tall, collapses to 4.17 inches, and even comes with a tidy white carry bag. I’ve officially become that person who brings a fan to the backyard, the RV, and possibly the grocery store.But let’s talk features. Four speeds — gentle to turbo — this fan goes from “polite summer breeze” to “I’m flying coach and sitting near the engine.” It oscillates 90°, swivels vertically 180°, has a telescoping height adjustment (floor to desk to nightstand), and lasts up to 28.5 hours on a full charge. That’s longer than most of my family gatherings.Best of all? A remote control. At my age, getting out of bed to change fan settings is a crime against comfort. Now I click a button and voila — airflow magic. Bonus: it has a timer (1–8 hrs), a child lock (for the grandkids), and an LED display so I feel like I’m operating mission control from bed.Now the downside... My retired spouse fell in love with it too and keeps stealing it for his den, where the AC also went to die. So guess who’s buying another one for him? And one for the guest room. Maybe two. Honestly, I’d wear one as a backpack if I could.Bottom line: This little fan is a game-changer. Quiet, powerful, rechargeable, and no cords to trip over or extension leads to untangle. Highly recommended for anyone with AC problems, desert living, or just a love for being cool (literally and figuratively). If I could give it 6 stars, I would.
