I ordered this to replace my Truper maul handle. The handle that arrived was not a Truper brand handle and did not fit my mail.

My pick head is a no. 6 or six pound head. This handle fit fine.

Handle is fiberglass but top is cheap plastic which breaks easily.

I bought this handle as a replacement for a broken wooden handle for a 5lb pick axe. Unfortunately, I was unable to put it on, having tried a heavy hammer, lubricating, and even melting the handle. The axe head just would not move far enough to anchor.

This handle is solid looking and seems to be exactly like the ad said. Shipped like it was promised to also.

It's really inaccurate to say I hate it but it seems Truper changed it's design.There is no taper to allow the pick head to slide towards the end of the handleThe opening on my pick is larger on the top than the bottomWhen this one wouldn't work, I tried a wooden Truper from another vendor here with the same resultsThe one that I was trying to replace is completely different

I bought this handle to fashion a really great cutter mattock tool. I just liked it so much, that I had to buy another. The grip is superb!
