Never replaced a heater core before, but we did it many hours later minus one socket and a few extra screws. We completed it and there were no leaks and the coolant smell is now gone from the cab and the heater is working again. Total cost was this Heater Core, some new heater hose ends and hose clamps. Way cheaper than the $1300 quoted to have it done at a mechanic shop.

Finally heat in my expedition. Got this part from Amazon. Saved at least $30 by buying it here. Fast delivery. Every vehicle part I’ve bought on Amazon worked great and saved me a lot of money. Just put in your vehicle information and they show you a list of low to high price parts that are specifically for your make and model of vehicle. So if u have the luxury of waiting a few days for a part then this is definitely your ticket to buying parts.

napa sucks do you know haw much work is involved to replace the heater core once let alone 4 timesit cant be worse to try this one for 5 times cheaper then napa
